This post has been delayed for too long, this should have been up on Tuesday but I felt so reluctant to finish this entry because of its negative energy and the way I feel on what has happened.
I really really dislike blogging about gloomy matters.
I like most of the people that I work with. Not all, but most, that’s already better than most of the people that works in an office, so that’s better than a lot of people that whines about everything. Maybe it’s just me but sometimes I do get attached to personalities that I like a lot. Unfortunately in the working world most of this companionship will end sooner or later, one way or another.
It’s always nice to know someone dependable at where you work, especially when some task are just challenging and are difficult, although not impossible, to complete without their help. Over time these people’s existence will be so much more appreciated than some others. Some people are just more pivotal in terms of influence and work performance than some others.
Yesterday one of the seniors I respected just snapped. It wasn’t really a sudden decision, she’s been thinking about it for a while because of the issues that are almost not resolvable in her role. She’s just having too much difficulties that are not resolvable between herself and our new boss (not really new, been here for nearly a year now) because the approach to tackle things are just too different.
One email from the boss in the morning questioning her about why is she not doing a task (which was supposed to be done by himself in the first place) totally just pissed her off, and all of a sudden she made a decision, whacked out the resignation in the hard drive, amended the date, printed and signed, then in the afternoon me and Girl (Girl was featured in my earlier entries) watched her walking across the floor to our manager (boss’s boss) to tender her resignation.
It was quick. They went into a meeting room to discuss a few issues and then it was settled.
Good thing is that She came back with a smile. In fact the best look that I’ve seen on her face since she has began working with our team leader. The gloomy aura around her seems to have been lifted, relaxed. That made us didn’t feel as bad. I kinda complained to Girl in the internal messenger about how negative I felt about losing a good senior and a good point of reference, and most importantly a good friend that we have in office regularly. Girl was thinking more openly and she convinced me that this is something that happened for the better. The Senior has been suffering while she was in this role, she was doing her own work that is already some heavy load while helping her boss in his early days with his work. However her boss has taken it for granted, lately the boss wasn’t happy when she advised him that these were his own word, and demanded her to do them.
There’s a limit for everything and Tuesday was the breaking point. 1 email that came in the morning that requested something horrendously troublesome to be done on a weekly basis, she was annoyed and replied email to the boss and advised that if he needs it then she could teach him how to do it. he wasn’t happy and didn’t think twice to share it, then he asked a junior staff to do it.
Oh well. That was done.
So final 30 days of her stay. We enjoyed while she was here and she will be dearly missed in this office by a couple of dozens of good people because she was such a good help for even people in other departments.
She resigned without a job but she has no fear. I’m sure with her caliber there are better things await, good luck to her.
Signing off.

"damn looooong mascara"
I had a rather fun conversation with a friend in the other half of the team today. I kinda intruded into his conversation with a senior because they were laughing loudly in a suppressed manner (I know that sounds weird but that’s what happened). So he said, it’s not nice to speak up, he’ll send me messages via the messenger.
