It’s 1 day before Chinese new year eve and 2 days before Chinese new year comes, the biggest festival celebration for any Chinese at any part of the world. Honestly speaking I have not been feeling as excited about this festival as I used to ever since all my grandparents are gone.
Reunion seems to have lost most of its meaning, though it doesn’t mean that I do not like it. I am always glad to be able to meet my cousins in Johor, they are all so lovely. I only get to see them only once a year which the CNY but I really wish that I can be somewhere closer to them so that I can visit more often. However that’s hardly an excuse because I could have driven to them more often on weekends, it’s just that the journey now is quite long, about 3-5 hours drive, and flying involves a cost that I can hardly afford.
Oh well.
I’m going to be seeing most of them during CNY anyway, so there’s no point thinking about it now. I know most of them are doing well through facebook and that’s given me a peace of mind until I meet them in person. Kudos to Mark Zuckerberg for creating facebook.
Right before the CNY holiday there’s a Public holiday, which is today. That explains why I am casually typing an entry for my blog 15 minutes before the end of my work day. There really aren’t much going on at the moment. Phones aren’t ringing because it’s already almost 6pm there at Australia (3:45pm here).
Read news forwarded my friend today that right after Queensland got hit by a monstrous flood, a cyclone is going to hit anytime later today. Seems that the evacuation is already starting today noon. Gosh, please leave those people alone, there are having a bad day already, they wouldn’t need anything worse anytime soon. Hit Washington or something, I’m sure they can handle it.
The friend that sits in front of my cubical got a new phone from the girl friend on his birthday last week. A Sony Ericsson Xpheria X10. Wow. It’s a phone that I’ve been longing quite a while back then but had no budget for it. Which is why I have settled for my current phone Sony Ericsson Vivaz in last July. It’s not the best phone in the market but it handles calling just fine, plus some other non-essential gimmicks. So I’ve realized that no matter how expensive phone gets, the differences are probable between how many useless gimmicks you can get in one phone. Might as well save the cash for something better to come, not sure what…

Almost there... And there it is!
20 minutes to the end of work and everything that can be settle has been settled. I’ve got time to listen in to the girls’ chit chatting. It’s such an amazing thing when they talking about shopping. Taking a plane to Hong Kong just for shopping is unthinkable for me, but for them it’s actually a holiday plan, such differences between guys and girls.
Makes me think about my trip to Pulau Redang at the end of March. Love the sky, love the beaches, love the ocean, the world is such a beautiful place. Cant wait.
1 minute to the end of work. I am typing just so that the seconds would pass away faster. And so I can hit the “log out” button and head home!
And there it is! It’s time! BYE!!!

There's light at the end of the tunnel.
I felt so sad when I saw her status update in facebook. I felt sorry for her yet I know besides moral support there's almost nothing else friends could offer.
It never feels good when you witness an end of a relationship after so much has been given by either side and things didn’t work out eventually. Saw her cried in the office and was a little irritated with myself that there's nothing we could do to help. Sometimes things just happen even without you see them coming, there's no helping it. Life rocks, just that sometimes it rocks in a cruel way.
The bad side of it is that for you feel so very sad when things that you work so hard did not turn out the way you want them to be. The good side of it is that you can now work on something new from what you learn from it. Surely the outcome will turn out better simply because you are now wiser, it's just that to start anew you need a lot of time and courage. Some people have no luxury of that, fortunately this friend does. So good luck to her.
Let's hope things turn for the better from now on.
So much have happened. Open your eyes and look for a way out, for at the end of the tunnel, there will be light.

Boring Saturday post
I come home Friday night and found my graphics card died. Honestly speaking I haven't felt so bad in quite a while. Just so that you know I am a very fastidious person in terms of visual gadgets. I built my own PC so that it can displays everything in the highest detail possible. So when the key component in my computer died and not allowing that to happen, I was a little annoyed.
Luckily the part that I bought was 5 days away from 1 year old, which means that I can still send it for exchange and get myself a brand new one before the warranty expires. That's not too bad so when I got that conclusion I kinda cooled down. So, I went to the most popular IT building in town for a shopping with my brother today. The Lowyat Plaza.
This is a nice Saturday, instead of driving to town which is guaranteed traffic jam and expensive parking, we decided to take trains and walk a little. Some right decision made on a sunny Saturday, it was a pleasant walk. And soon enough we're there, the heart of IT for our capital city.
I haven't been here for a while, since I last built my computer. I like this place when I have something I want to check out or when I have something I want to buy but I’d never come this place without an objective. If you want to understand why, all you have to do is to pay a visit to that building, and I guarantee you will understand why I do not like to go that place for no reason.
Today's visit was fruitful.
My brother has been an eco freak for a while. He does some waste recycling and energy conservation at home, even when it comes to gadgets he has to search for something as eco as it can possibly get. So he has been having an eye for a solar powered high tech keyboard for a while. A keyboard that does not require anything else other than solar power to operate. Pretty neat I'd say but it isn't as eco as he thinks because the adapter that receives signal is still powered by USB, so it still consumes power, possibly more than a conventional keyboard that only sends signal via the copper wire and does not require any signal broadcasting of any sort. Oh well, as long as he's happy I guess.
I went to Lowyat to claim the warranty of my expensive graphics card, this part itself in my computer cost me more than RM800 itself. It's usually THE most expensive component in my computer whenever I built one. For some reason this part is getting more and more expensive each time I build a computer. The rate of the price going up is way faster than the rate of my salary going up that's for sure. Wonder if there's something I can do about that.
The technician told me that this part needs to be sent to Taiwan for RMA, and it's CNY so I've gotta wait a minimum of 1 month for it to come back... oh geez... 1 month without my baby GFX card... I'm gonna be so bored to death. Time to save up and get a new one. I think I’ll just sell it when it comes back.
Anyone wants a brand ASUS GTX275 let me know, I’m going to sell it.
What am I going to do this weekend... =(
